Description

Join the Physicians organization in the capacity of Director of Benefits, where you can partner with the 15 unique foundations to drive substantial benefits and HRIS programs, all with a keen eye on compliance where your focus will be on the continuous development of your team and the implementation of programs to ensure they are inclusive, meaningful and support the individual foundations. This position is 75% remote, with the ability to be onsite weekly.

Employee Benefits Responsibilities:

  • Research Physician and Executive health and welfare programs for strategic implementation
  • Recommend to PO executive leadership, benefit programs, and services to meet or exceed market competition to ensure physician recruitment or retention. Recommendations will include competitive positioning, benefit-cost, utilization, and analytical review for benefits programs and benefits services offered by the PO to the Foundations as PO members and Foundation employees (PO Benefit Programs and Services)
  • Coordinate and negotiate group rates for PO Benefit Programs and Services
  • Designs and maintains PO Benefit Programs and Services
  • Develop PO Fringe Benefit budget valued at $30M. Primary Liaison with PO Finance to monitor cost volatility, funding, and ongoing monitoring of plans
  • Develop and oversee the open enrollment process for participating Foundations. Oversee day-to-day benefits administration for applicable PO Benefits Programs and Services, including 5500 fillings
  • Works with an external auditing firm to complete yearly compliance reporting and audit
  • Manage all business-related insurance to include the identification, selection, and qualification of third-party vendors for additional negotiation and selection by the PO Board; Contracts under agreement include but are not limited to health, life, disability, Business travel accident, fiduciary, travel, property, and dental
  • Collaborates with administrative directors of Foundations regarding PO Benefits Programs and Services to develop strategies for benefit offering and ensure operational administration and compliance

Human Resources Information System (HRIS):

  • Lead Operations for PO HRIS system activities, including oversight/maintenance, customer support, and execution of reporting and analytics for PO leaders
  • Establish the strategic direction and goals for the function to ensure proactive delivery of streamlined customer-focused solutions that support strategic business goals
  • Serve as PO HRMS Security Officer and work with leaders regarding various compliance initiatives
  • Act as system super-user, providing guidance & training to all system users
  • Responsible for data accuracy, reliability, and validity; regularly monitor data flows to downstream systems
  • Manage ongoing employee support for benefit programs, leaves, and onboarding in partnership with Foundation leaders; ongoing liaison to benefit brokers and vendors

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or other related field is required; A Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits and HRIS in a Leadership capacity (including contract and vendor management)
  • Experience managing a self-funded plan preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations relating to benefits plans and insurance requirements
  • High level of proficiency and demonstrated effectiveness in problem-solving and implementing new programs related to increased departmental and organizational operating efficiencies
